![]() The amenities also seem really nice, like the steam room, availability of equipment, fancy locker rooms, classes, etc. The idea of only having to walk two blocks to the gym is super enticing. Going from a $28 membership to a $270 membership is obviously a big jump but I can afford it and I am going to live two blocks away from this UES Equinox, which is why the membership is so tempting even if it's expensive. I'm concerned about being 20 blocks away from the gym as it could not only affect my motivation during the winter, but also be time-consuming and costly with having to take public transportation. I currently pay $28 a month for a Blink membership but the closest Blink to me will be on 54th Street. I receive a corporate discount witch would be $270 per month without an initiation fee, and it's nice to not have to pay those few additional hundred dollars.
